I’ve been playing around with the NextGen Gallery plugin for WordPress. It was quite easy to install and get up and running. It seems to integrate really well with the control panel. I can access single photos, for internal links, in Uploads - it creates a Gallery tab for this. I can add a gallery to any page or post with simple code. I’ve done this on Selenyx’s character sheet. Photos live in galleries which can live in albums. To test this, I created a “Characters” album and inserted the Selenyx and Ragga galleries. The album would display as shown below, lending itself well to setting up a page for an album gallery.

Another cool thing you can do is insert a slideshow as a widget in your sidebar.

I’m really liking it so far.
