I didn’t play much over the weekend as The Daughter and myself took a quick trip south for a visit with my Mom, Dad, Youngest Brother, his Wife, and their Baby.

It was our first trip without the boys and was quite nice. It’s amazing how differently kids behave when you are alone with them.

We arrived home a bit before 7:00 Sunday night and before bed The Hubby and I decided to return to Strat and see how well we fare now that Selenyx and his shadow-stepping rogue are a bit stronger.

We did live side as he’s after some righteous orbs for some righteous twinkage on one of his many twink alts. I think I needed some for my twink resto druid, but I haven’t played her much as I’ve been occupied with many of my many alts.

Anyway, we pretty much barreled through it this time. Our previous attempts were more challenging. I didn’t have the clefthoof set and he wasn’t level 65. I was quite happy to discover that I could dps quite well in kitty form while wearing the clefthoof set.

Boy, do I love being a druid!

We never did get any orbs on our previous attempts, not even from Archivist Galford. After some reading up on it, we concluded that stealthing to him and avoiding all the mobs in the halls between him and the courtyard was probably why he wasn’t dropping one for us.

This time, we came away with 3.

But not without dying in the cannon room.

Overconfidence ftw!

Strat is a great place to farm. We came away with plenty of blues and greens to disenchant, piles of runecloth, and a pristine black diamond. Not to mention that we can sell righteous orbs for 40g a piece on our server. But, for now, the loot goes into the guild bank for future use.

We will definitely be returning.
