Epic Fail.

At the beginning of the year, I started this blog under the premise of balancing Real Life and Warcraft… somewhat of a New Year Resolution I suppose. Now, almost 6 months later, I can’t say that I have made any progress towards striking a better balance between the two.

It’s pitiful, really.

I will take the compelling advice of Part Time Druid and schedule my play time. I’ve known it is something I should do. Although I prefer to go with the flow of things, a schedule really is more efficient, and not just for myself but also for everyone around me.

I am a grown up, after all.

  1. Mama Druid–

One of the most exciting things about being a blogger is when you truly get evidence that people are reading it. I truly hope that my advice can help you find that balance you crave. From my perspective, I’m sure we share many of the same challenges relating to the game. A schedule really does work for me, and it allows me both to progress within the game and with my family.

  2. I’m going to have to schedule myself somehow too - I’m really bad at losing way too much time in the game. And thank you for that link - nice blog over there!

  3. Thanks Pummra… if my husband *didn’t* play, it would probably be easier. And EGADS! I read your blog regularly but didn’t have you in my blogroll. I’m not very good at keeping it up to date. :(

It’s very easy to do Batgrl. Pummra even shared as much in his post. Strange as it may sound, it actually makes sense that you’d get more out of scheduled game time. I don’t want to eat chili every night!

  4. What is this “balance” thing of which you speak? I have probably spent more time playing WoW than sleeping and working combined since I started playing last August.
