Well color me red!

In my post about the thingamabobs jutting out from the neck of a female Draenei, I embarrassingly spelled eartacles wrong. (it’s a derivative of tentacles, not tenticles)

Doh!

I corrected my mistake and am horrified at my misspelling the wonderful new word… even after seeing it spelled correctly by the Hooha herself (in the last comment)!

And now, with this post, I bid thee farewell. Tomorrow morning we begin our voyage to the beach.

Have a great week everyone!

I’m the poor little creature and that big hand is my blog.

funny pictures

There are so many things I want to do with this place!

  • a new look and feel, but I haven’t settled on a theme I like
  • over a month ago I mentioned wanting to post about my Horde priest and paladin - the drafts are still in my head
  • writing and publishing my Horde character profiles - one is almost done!
  • incorporate Google’s ad sense - but not until there’s a new look and feel
  • learn how to use custom fields
  • format the backlog of screens, then write and publish their stories

Sadly, time isn’t making itself as available as I’d like. Work is busy, Real Life is busy, and I’m on vacation all next week! We’ll be spending time with family* at the beach and I am very much looking forward to it.

A terrible side effect of this busyness is getting behind on all my favorite blogs. :( When I get back, I’ll probably have to mark all as read and just start from scratch. How very sad!

Strangely, I can find a few minutes here and there to draft this post and the one I posted earlier this week. There isn’t much involved except typing my thoughts out, making it easier because I don’t have to format screens or look up URLs for gear or quests.

I suppose I’m just lamenting for the time I do not have.

Time is money, friend.

If you could pay for more time in the day, would you? What if you could pay to eliminate your need for sleep? I might pay for the latter. We spend so much time sleeping!

Anymore, it seems as though most bloggers blog about raiding. Strategies this, math that, purples here, badges there… ugh!

I have to remind myself that it’s just like the Warcraft forums. If you spend much time reading them (which I don’t anymore), you’ll come away with the misperception that what is disussed there is the pulse of the WoW community, when in fact it is not. Just a fraction of the WoW population participates in the forums. The same can be said for WoW bloggers… just a fraction of players have blogs.

When forming perceptions in one’s mind, it’s good to remember that there are millions upon millions of players who don’t read the forums or blogs. They just play.

I had to check my favorite blogs to see if there were any who do not blog about raiding. Thankfully, there are a few who do not raid, or don’t discuss it if they do. If raiding is not your thing, or you simply don’t have the time to commit to it, read up on these blogs to see how non-raiders have fun.

While I’ve been in a lackadaisical mood about the game for the past month or so, I have been playing and accomplishing a few things here and there:

  • Selenyx learned epic flying and bought an epic flyer - Wheeee! - and started the quest line for epic flight form
  • Protection Belfadin leveled from 39 to 40 and loves her AoE tanking spec and mount
  • 61 Undead priest respecced from shadow to disc/holy and is much happier
  • 48 Troll mage dropped skinning for alchemy and powerleveled it to 270
  • deleted and created a handful of Alliance characters
(one of those deleted characters was my 29 twink druid who, by the way, had more HP than my 48 mage)
  • having fun with the Fire Festival

I’m really just puttering around ingame with no driven purpose or motivation. Since posting my response to the Blog Azeroth shared topic question “What are you doing to prepare for WotLK?” I’ve been thinking about it a bit more seriously. When the time comes, which of my characters do I want adventuring in Northrend?

The most obvious answer would be Mama Druid herself, Selenyx.

But…

When I play Alliance and see Horde, I get warm fuzzies and want to join them. When I play Horde and see Alliance, I do not get warm fuzzies and am sometimes overcome with feelings of wanting to hurt them.

I asked The Hubby if he would prefer to play the expansion on Horde or Alliance. Horde was his answer.

So maybe I am doing something to prepare for WotLK afterall… thinking about switching sides. In doing so, I’m recovering from the Apathy bug. As far as recoveries go, this one is slow and steady and will no doubt accelerate in the near future.
